Astor House is an imposing Victorian villa built around 1840 when Torbay was a major naval port.

Astor House apartments are located in a prominent position in the heart of Torquay just above the beach with the Princess Theatre just below Rock Walk and the town centre a short walk past the marina.

ACCOMMODATION

The main apartment rooms, exemplified in flats 3 & 4, are very grand with high ceilings, detailed coving and large bay windows affording excellent views across the bay. These rooms form the main central part of the building. On either side are rooms which are more cottage-like in style and share the same spectacular views. All the apartments have a colour TV, microwave, central heating and indeed everything needed for a comfortable stay.

Flat 1 A large one-bedroom apartment on the second floor. Spectacular sea views from the lounge. Double bedroom with additional single bed. Bathroom with shower. Kitchen/breakfast room. Large sitting room with double sofa bed. Access to large roof terrace. Sleeps 3-5.

Flat 1a This is a studio flat on the second floor overlooking Warren Road (no sea view). It contains a lounge/bedroom with a new sofa bed sleeping 1/2 and a small kitchen and shower room. It is equipped with tv, and all kitchen facilities including a microwave. Sleeps 1/2.

Flat 2 A large one-bedroom apartment on the second floor. Spectacular sea-views from sitting room, kitchen and bedroom. Double bedroom with additional single bed, bathroom with shower. Kitchen, sitting room with double sofa bed. Access to large roof terrace. Sleeps 3-5.

Flat 12 - Just Released! A completely newly refurbished large one bedroom apartment, lounge/diner and kitchen area, bathroom with great sea views and steps to the garden. Sleeps 2-4.

Flat 3 Luxury one-bedroom apartment. Located on the first floor, the suite comprises a large bay-windowed high-ceilinged sitting room with spectacular sea-views and containing double sofa bed, colour TV with video recorder, double bedroom with sea-views, bathroom with shower, fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher. Sleeps 2-4.

Flat 4 A large two-bedroom apartment with its’ own private terrace. Located on the first floor, the suite comprises a large entrance hall, sitting room with high ceilings, bay window and spectacular sea-views with double sofa bed, colour TV with video recorder, fitted kitchen with dishwasher, and access to terrace. Two large bedrooms, one double and one twin with shower & WC en-suite. Large split-level bathroom. Sleeps 4-6.


Flat 5 A first floor two-bedroom apartment, sitting room, double and twin bedrooms, all with sea-views. Bathroom with shower. Kitchen with external door. Sleeps 4.

Flat 9 A ground floor two bedroom apartment, with sitting room, double and single bedroom all having sea-views. Bathroom. Kitchen. Access to shared balcony. Sleeps 3.

Flat 15 - Just Released! A newly refurbished two bedroom (adjoining by stairs) apartment with lounge/diner and kitchen area, bathroom. Spectacular sea views opening to huge balcony and steps to garden.

Flat 14 - Just Released! A newly refurbished enormous 2 bedroom two bathroom apartment with fabulous sea views and opening to a huge balcony with steps to garden. The apartment includes a large lounge/diner with kitchen area huge master bedroom with ensuite shower room and a large second bedroom with two twin beds.

Astor House has a superb cliff position with spectacular views overlooking the sea in Torquay. Astor will be undergoing a complete refurbishment during 2007 and as a result prices have been reduced by around 15%!

£175 to £545

£15 - £25 per person per week for additional guests (excluding babies)

The programme is not yet finalised but the work will be separated from holiday-makers as far as possible. Any noisy work will normally take place during 9-5 only. The builders are very friendly and co-operative!
