Castle Drogo is a stunning National Trust property.

This modern 'medieval' fortress is situated above the beautiful Teign Gorge.

With stunning panoramic views across Dartmoor the castle is one of the superb works of Sir Edward Lutyens.

Built between 1910 and 1930 for the self-made millionaire, Julius Drewe the castle is famous for being the "last castle built in England" and has all the mod-cons and comforts you would expect from a 1930's property.

This amazing fortress built of granite and oak also has some of the most stunning terraced formal gardens in the West Country and boasts splendid collections of magnolia and rhododendron.

Visitors to the castle can wander around these beautiful gardens, perhaps try a game of croquet on the circular lawn or go slightly further a field and discover the many walks around the dramatic Teign Gorge.

The castle offers an array of regular family events and fun days as well as a cafe and childrens play area.

Castle Drogo is a fabulous day out for all the family.
