B&B ACCOMMODATION AT
THE BARLEY HOUSE

The Barley House is one of three barns where the farm horses where stabled on the ground floor while barley was stored upstairs.

The conversion of The Barley House was completed in 2006 to a high spec based on a contemporary design. Two of the bedrooms are available for bed and breakfast. The Barn looks out over open, rolling countryside typical of the South Hams, towards Frogmore Creek.

Room 1

A large twin/double bedded room with en-suite shower, television, wi-fi internet access, tea and coffee making facilities.

This bed in this room is set out as a six foot double (zip and link beds) but can be separated into two twin beds if necessary.

Rates are £80 for the room per night. (£85 in July and August)

Room 2

A double room with exclusive use of a bathroom with spa bath/shower.

Television wi-fi internet access and tea/coffee making facilities.

Rates are £70 for the room per night. (£75 in July and August)

All the above rates include breakfast which consists of fresh juices, tea/coffee and local preserves, or a full English breakfast with free range eggs and locally cured bacon and sausage.

It is served in an imposing beamed room on the first floor of the barn with lovely rural views.

LOCATION

The Barley House is situated in the South Hams village of East Charleton, midway between Dartmouth and Salcombe and just 2 miles from the ancient market town of Kingsbridge at the head of the Salcombe Estuary.

This area of Devon with coast, countryside and moor has something for every taste and is uniquely beautiful with the majority of the area designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
