There is a sitting room attached to the dinning room
overlooking the garden and river surrounded by woodland with the
abundant wild life.

Yealmpton is situated between the A379 and the river
Yealm that runs into a stunning estuary, with coastal paths and
secluded beaches to hand. Dartmoor and Plymouth are equidistant
and reachable in 20 minutes, very convenient for the ferries to
Roscoff and Santander.
There are bus routes to Plymouth, Kingsbridge,
Dartmouth, Newton Ferrers and Noss Mayo. The Mayflower connection
gives a weekday hourly service from Plymouth (which has rail connections
from all parts of the UK). If you are walking the coast path; the
section from Averton Gifford to Plymouth can be done as a series
of linear walks, with the aide of the bus services - while
based a Yealmpton.
