After a day enjoying the wondeful Devon region, we can recommend wonderful places to eat; The Elephant Restaurant & Brasserie, One Michelin Star/Three Rosettes - a memorable experience. Also, the Number 7 Seafood Bistro, Hole in the Wall, Sea Spray, Legends, Vanilla Pod, Orange Tree. Drum Inn Cockington for traditional fayre, Cherub Inn Dartmouth; wonderfully traditional. Prezzo! Torquay's new Italian grand café restaurant. Elegant, excellent service, good Italian food. Torbay for seriously good food. And to ensure your good health, there is a sports ground opposite which is great for jogging, and a fitness club at the Conference centre.

Guest rooms are individually appointed, comprising a junior suite, doubles, a single and triple room. The tasteful surroundings include an elegant drawing room with reference books and magazines, where guests can relax in peace and quiet. The dining room continues the sphere of elegance as a place to enjoy the freshly prepared English or Continental breakfast with vegetarian options. The Daylesford is located in a tree-lined avenue within walking distance of the station, sea front, Torre Abbey Gardens, Riviera Conference & Leisure Centre, town and harbour. Nearby Dartmouth, Brixham and Totnes are within easy reach.
The location of The Daylesford makes town, coast and countryside equally accessible. Torquay is perfect as a base, encompassing the coastline and wonderful Devon countryside, charming villages, thatched cottages and welcoming inns. Regular boat trips offering excursions to Brixham or Dartmouth make a fine day out. Totnes is a truly 'funky' town. Enjoy its eclectic mix of shops, soulful atmosphere, laid-back lifestyle, charming, Saxon castle and Elizabethan architecture. Nearby Dartmoor offers wide open spaces and spectacular scenery. Exeter is great for shopping and visiting the truly incredible cathedral. We can recommend great places to eat, including the Hole in the Wall gastro-pub built in 1540, Number 7 seafood bistro and Elephant Restaurant & Brasserie, Torquay's Michelin Star venue. Close by is the Ocean Drive or a walk to Cockington Country Park, and you have the Court House Café (for the best cream teas!) and the Drum Inn, both set in Cockington's beautiful surroundings
