Come and relax in our pretty stone holiday cottages set in a tranquil South Devon valley. Each cottage has its own private garden and there is a nature trail with ponds and woods for guests to enjoy. Stunning beaches, great coastal walks, historic Slapton village, and the seaside towns of Salcombe and Dartmouth are all within easy reach.

Guests can leave the car behind and take the 50-minute green lane walk to historic Slapton village, with its two excellent dog-friendly pubs, and Slapton Ley Nature Reserve where there is birdwatching and nature safaris; and just 3 miles from here the South West Coast Path takes in the stunning coastal scenery of Start Bay from Dartmouth to Start Point.

We offer a 25% discount through our Priviledge plus membership at the Dartmouth Golf & Country Club, where guests can used the pool, sauna, steam room and gym, and the 9 or 18-hole golf courses.

Our six stone cottages nestle in the valley at the end of a private lane. They have been sympathetically renovated from farm buildings and are individually decorated and furnished. There are thick stone walls, exposed beams and recessed windows, feature fireplaces, slate, wood or ceramic flooring, providing a homely setting all year round. Outside, the cottages have individual private gardens with lawns, flower and shrub borders, gravel patios, garden furniture, and lovely views of the surrounding valley.

BBQ's are available free on request. All cottages are fully no smoking. Each cottage has a fire extinguisher, fire blanket and smoke detector.We also supply a small torch and matches although we would recommend guests bring their own torch if they wish to walk at night-time. The communal laundry room is at the rear of the farmhouse with level access and has a coin-operated commercial washing machine and tumble drier. Irons, ironing boards and clothes-airers are provided in each cottage. There is also a large outdoor washing line and a whirligig for guests’ use. A complementary basket of logs, kindling, firelighters and matches are provided in each cottage with a woodburner. There is a communal car park (The Owlery has its own private parking space

Each cottage has sofas and chairs, coffee tables, LCD televisions, DVD players and Wifi, books, magazines, games, DVDs, and a comprehensive information file. Further information on ‘what’s on’, local information, wildlife watching, eating out, maps and guides can be found in the communal laundry room.

Details of the temporary guest membership to Dartmouth Golf & Country Club which offers 25% discount on golf, swimming, gym and health and beauty facilities is supplied in each cottage file.

Heating is either oil or gas-fired central heating, or night-storage heating with supplementary heating, and some cottages have woodburners - please see individual cottage descriptions.

Each cottage kitchen has an electric cooker and hob, cordless kettle, microwave and toaster, fridge with freezer compartment, and all other equipment that is required for an ETC 4-Star rating. There is a dishwasher and upright fridge/freezer in Willows.

Cots and highchairs are available free on request.

The bathrooms have a bath with shower over (unless stated otherwise in the cottage description), WC and washbasin, shaver point, and electric wall-mounted fan heater or central heating.
