Durham House Apartment offers newly refurbished
self-catering accommodation right in the heart of the picturesque village of Beer on the East Devon Coast –
a World Heritage Site.

Situated on the second floor of a beautiful period stone building, you can relax in this stylish apartment, whilst being just minutes away from the many restaurants, art galleries, shops and pubs. And just a 3-4 minute stroll to the beach.

Offering a luxurious retreat in one of the friendliest locations on the south coast, Durham House Apartment provides the perfect accommodation for two people and an excellent base for exploring the Devon and Dorset coastline and countryside.

ACCOMMODATION

Durham House Apartment has a private entrance on Fore Street and is situated on the second floor (the stairways are well-lit and easily manageable).

The stylish lounge has a traditional sash window with views over the village and offers comfortable sofa seating with soft lamp lighting for the evenings. Whilst having full central heating, there is also a traditional Edwardian fireplace stocked with logs for those cooler winter months – a real focal point. A colour TV, CD & DVD player are also included to give you home-from-home comforts.

The double bedroom is light and airy with plentiful wardrobe hanging space and drawers. All bed-linen, towels, utilities and heating are included. A sofa-bed is also available in the lounge, but please advise at the time of booking if this is required so that fresh bedding can be provided.

The recently refitted kitchen is modern and spacious; fully equipped with cooker, microwave, dishwasher, fridge and washing machine. Crockery and cutlery for four people is provided.

With a brand new white suite, the bathroom sparkles with a bath with shower over, hand basin, toilet and heated towel rail.

Parking

There is a ‘drop off’ point opposite the Apartment but as Beer is a popular village it is suggested that you use the well-lit public car park literally situated around the corner. A weekly permit is available for £18.00 which then allows you to park in any East Devon District Council car park throughout your stay.

LOCATION

Beer village, on the Jurassic coast, is the perfect base to explore the East Devon region. You’ll find an unspoilt and traditional seaside environment that is thankfully devoid of ‘Kiss me Quick’ hats and arcades. Instead you are offered a protected pebbled beach which is EEC recognised for safe bathing; rock pools to explore; deckchairs and delicious local fare to sample!

Boat & fishing trips are available plus (if you’re an early bird) the opportunity to see fishermen bring in their catch of the day - which can be bought for supper the same night.

Stylish art galleries display local craftwork; tea-shops provide Devon Cream Teas and the quaintness of seaside cottages and thatched houses create a wonderful backdrop.
