The 4 Star, Grand Hotel occupies pride of place on the Torbay seafront, commanding majestic views over the bay and out to sea.

Since being purchased by the Richardson Group in 2001, it has undergone a sympathetic restoration that has exposed its magnificent Victorian and Art Deco architectural characteristics.

The result is a perfect blend of modernity mixed with the opulence and grandeur of bygone days, when hotels were the places for society to be seen.

In addition to all the comforts and leisure facilities you would expect in a hotel, The Grand has one of the most advanced conference facilities in the south west, accommodating from 4 to 300 delegates and is also a sought after wedding venue

The hotel has 131 bedrooms, 7 of which are Premier suites. The majority of rooms embrace the wonderful sea view and Torbay coastline. All are decorated to a high standard and include all of the facilities and extras you would expect in a 4 Star hotel - the only 4 Star establishment in the bay.

Whatever the weather, the comfort and luxury of the Grand has something to offer everyone. For the more active, there is the Grand Leisure Suite with its 15m swimming pool, jacuzzi, sauna and sunbed as well as a gym, why not spoil yourself after a work out session, or prior to an evening out in our Beauty Salon, where you can enjoy many treatments including hot stone massage, manicure or even a spot of reflexology.

In the summer, there’s the pleasure of an outdoor pool, complete with fountain, children’s area and plenty of space in which to soak up the sun’s rays from the comfort of a sun lounger.

Torbay is an ideal leisure base due to its proximity to some of the best places to visit in the county. Dartmoor and its landscape, varying from chocolate box pretty to dramatically rugged, is a short drive away.

The Grand is within easy reach of the town centre, Torquay Train station and the beach is just a step away. Living Coasts, Kents Cavern, and Babbacombe Model Village are just some of the local attractions on our doorstep.
