activities, places of interest and tourist attractions. Budleigh Salterton itself
is a picturesque town with much to see and do. With a charm of it’s own, it blends
the best of the modern world with a traditional approach to life. Often
described as relaxed, unspoiled and peaceful it is the ideal place to get away
and relax. The High Street has a good range of shops and a selection of pubs,
coffee shops and restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. While
for the history of the town and special exhibitions visit the ever-popular Fairlynch
Museum. The pebble beach is home to traditional fishing boats,
family outings, geological treasures, breathtaking views and one of Britain’s
oldest naturist beaches. The Otter estuary is a Site of Special
Scientific Interest and home to a multitude of bird-life all year around. Fishing,
cricket, football, tennis, bowls, croquet, horse riding, cycling, shooting and
golf are all well catered for within the town. Nearby Towns
include Exmouth with it’s long sandy beach, shopping and nightlife and Sidmouth
renowned for the International Folk Festival. Visit the cathedral
city of Exeter, with its Roman past, museums, theatres, university and shopping
