Millwheel Cottage is part of the Old Mill block, which now comprises three cottages, all offering self catering holiday accommodation.

All the rooms of Millwheel Cottage are on the ground floor and the open-plan living area is light and spacious. The rear window of the children's bedroom looks out onto the massive Millwheel. Sleeps 4 plus full size travel cot

Living area The front door leads into an open plan living room with a 3 seater sofa and two chairs, TV and CD player. The circular dining table seats 4-5.
The open plan kitchen area is well fitted and equipped with electric hob and built-in fan oven, microwave, dishwasher and fridge with ice box. There is a light and airy feel to the property.

Bedrooms Through a door and hallway are the main bedroom and second bedroom.
The main bedroom has a king size bed and the 2nd bedroom has full size bunk beds.
A full size travel cot is available on request.

Bathroom The bathroom has a bath with electric overhead shower, handbasin and WC.

Outside In front of the cottage is a small garden with lawn, table, chairs, parasol and BBQ. The garden enjoys the afternoon and evening sun.

SITE FACILITIES

All our visitors have free access to the many facilities that are available on the Colmer estate.

There are just 20 holiday cottages on the estate, so the facilities are never overcrowded. The 28 acres of beautiful and peaceful private grounds gives varied habitat that makes Colmer a nature lover's paradise of meadows, woodland and water-meadows.

The water gardens and lake attract hundreds of species of birds, butterflies and dragonflies to this holiday spot in South Devon.

Indoor and outdoor pools. The indoor pool is open and heated all year round. The attractive and landscaped outdoor pool is heated in the high season and in May half term. This is also where you will find the table tennis table. There are tables, chairs and loungers provided around the pool.

Fitness suite - There is a small fitness gymnasium containing a range of equipment including bicycle, treadmill, rowing machine and bench press with weights.

The Lake - The fishing lake is well stocked for coarse fishing with carp and golden rudd. Other facilities - There is a walled garden with play equipment, a games room and woodland adventure playground, croquet lawn, tennis court and laundry room.

The surrounding Area

Colmer Estate is near the Georgian town of Modbury and the famous sailing resorts of Salcombe and Dartmouth. Activities abound for adults and children alike. On wet days explore Plymouth and the National Marine Aquarium or go further afield to the Eden Project in Cornwall. Sunny days are best spent walking the coastline or letterboxing on Dartmoor. Or just lazing on the local glorious sandy beaches before partaking of local cheeses, wines and chilli chocolate!
