The Old Forge at Totnes provides year-round accomodation in a friendly, welcoming 600-year old stone building with cosy, cottage-style rooms set in a relaxing, almost rural environment close to the centre of the South Hams market town of Totnes - an ideal location for those with business in the South-West, holiday visitors to this delightful part of the country, or simply those taking a peaceful, short break.

All 10 4 Star non-smoking bedrooms offer ensuite shower or bath, complimentary tea and coffee making facilities, central heating, colour TV, Radio and many little extras!

A variety of different styles of bedroom are available to cater for all tastes, with ground and garden level rooms, twin, double and family rooms, and a cottage suite for up to 4 people.

Breakfast is always a special occasion at the Old Forge with an excellent breakfast menu available every day with traditional, vegetarian, and continental dishes always available and special diets catered for too.

The Courtroom suite is particularly popular with it's own private roof garden.

Children are welcome but sorry no pets are allowed to stay in the building.

There are plenty of opportunities to relax at the Old Forge with a delightful walled garden, lounge and conservatory with a soothing hot tub.

Out and About in the Totnes Area

The Old Forge is located just minutes walk from the famous historical Elizabethan Town of Totnes where you can browse in the many different shops or visit the twice-weekly markets.

The busy and narrow streets, dominated by Totnes castle and the church tower are full of architectural and historical interest whilst all around you is the green horizons of the South Hams countryside. There are numerous country and coastal walks all around.

Dartmoor, the English Riviera Resorts of Torquay, Paignton and Brixham, and the pretty South Hams estuary towns and sandy beaches around Dartmouth, Salcombe and Kingsbridge and are all within half an hours drive.

You will be spoilt for choice of places to go and see in this wonderful unspoilt area of South Devon.
