Welcome to Prince Hall Hotel

Set in the very heart of Dartmoor National Park with its breathtaking scenery, Prince Hall, built in 1787 is a unique and well known, intimate country house hotel which retains the atmosphere of a welcoming private home.

The hotel enjoys a spectacular moorland setting in its south-facing sheltered position, with views over the West Dart River onto the rolling hills of Dartmoor National Park beyond.

Accommodation at Prince Hall Hotel

All eight spacious en-suite bedrooms are individually furnished. Specials features include original fireplaces, exposed beams and two four-poster beds.

The guests' lounge provides the perfect place to while away a winter's afternoon by the big fire with a good book, or in summer, doze in the garden after a satisfying cream tea.

Well-behaved dogs are very welcome at NO extra charge.

Award-Winning Cuisine

The AA Rosetted award-winning restaurant is overseen by the owner and offers a daily changing five-course menu, designed with flair and imagination and offering the very best in fresh local produce. The same menu is offered to non-residents on an a la carte basis.

The wine list features over 80 different bins incorporating English, classic and New World pressings.

Out and About on Dartmoor

Dartmoor provides the perfect holiday location for lovers of the great outdoors - all year round. Designated a National Park in 1951 Dartmoor has a very special and unique 'wild' landscape, wildlife and history. There are over 400 miles of footpaths and open moorland for visitors to enjoy.

There are excellent opportunities for walking, fishing, cycling, riding and climbing.

Numerous historical and quaint hamlets, villages and moorland market towns provide the visitor with an extensive range of interesting shops and displays of local crafts.
