Nestled in a sheltered south facing location just below Park Farmhouse you will find Rivermead - our converted top quality Barn that is available all year round and sleeps 2 - 10 people. Rivermead has absolutely splendid views over the surrounding countryside estuary and farmland towards the famous sailing resort of Salcombe and historical estuary market town of Kingsbridge. This is a walker's and bird watcher's paradise with so much wildlife to see on this unspoilt estuary designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty. The Barn Accommodation Rivermead Barn has been designed to offer superb living space across the whole of the first floor and takes full advantage of the views with floor to ceiling windows overlooking our small lake, with the estuary and rolling countryside beyond. This extensive living area is divided into a well-fitted kitchen with oil fired Aga style cooker, separate hob, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. The dining area adjacent to the kitchen has a large elm dining table and chairs to seat 10 and leads into the comfortable and cosy lounge area with sofa, chairs colour TV and video and lovely countryside views. On the ground floor the accommodation is presented as four separate bedrooms, available as one king sized double-bedded room and three twins rooms. The master double and one of the twin rooms both have their own ensuite shower rooms. In addition there is a family bathroom. Additional space for an extra bed or cot is available in a dressing room area. All
linen is provided, except beach towels. 2009

Out and About Rivermead Barn is located on Park Farm which is a 70 acre working livestock farm nestled in the heart of the South Hams in a very peaceful setting 'tucked away' off a country lane just one mile from the historical market town of Kingsbridge and three miles from the internationally renowned sailing resort of Salcombe. The area has a superb choice of award winning safe sandy beaches, suitable for swimming, snorkelling, diving, boating and wind surfing. The area is also blessed with miles of inland country and coastal walking along the famous South Devon coastal path. All modern amenities are available in Kingsbridge, with good shopping, supermarket, garage, cinema, children's park and excellent leisure centre with large indoor pool. Salcombe offers an interesting array of individual shops, harbourside cafes, restaurants and bars, excellent watersports and boat trips. The ancient Elizabethan town of Totnes - with two weekly markets and the historical naval town of Dartmouth are both within 20 minutes drive and Dartmoor National Park is within half an hours drive. |
