Sunsets provides 2 accommodation styles. It is an ideal location for exploring the miles of coastal paths with magnificent views on the doorstep, or just to relax and enjoy the peace and tranquillity of the surrounding open fields and views. Guided walking tours are available locally.

A mile away is the award winning Blackpool Sands beach nestling in a natural, sheltered bay with course golden sand, turquoise sea, pine trees and all facilities on site. Torcross and Slapton Sands are also nearby.

The historic Naval town of Dartmouth is approximately 4 miles away on the pretty coastal road from Strete, which provides an abundance of amenities from unique boutiques, award winning restaurants, boat trips or just sit and watch the fascinating, everyday life of this charming port.

The Apartment is arranged on one level on the upper floor, approached by a private entrance via stairs. It enjoys wonderful views over the surrounding countryside and contains:-

Directions to Sunsets at Hillaway in Strete.

From M5/A38.-follow signs to Plymouth. Take the 'Dart Bridge' exit to Totnes, Kingsbridge(A381)etc and follow brown signs to 'Woodland Leisure Park'.

From Plymouth.-follow the signs to Kingsbridge(A379) through Brixton, Yealmpton, Modbury, Churchstow and follow signs to the 'Woodlands Leisure Park'

Go past 'Woodlands Leisure Park' and take the next Right turn signpost to Strete, Blackawton,Torcross.
Stay on this road approx 3 miles (very narrow in places) and on entering the village of Strete, we are the first bungalow on the right hand side-Hillaway.

Please drive in and park on the brick driveway in front of the double garage door. On the left or right hand side.

DARTMOUTH AND THE LOCAL AREA

The pretty coastal village of Strete is a short drive away from the award winning Blackpool Sands beach (approx 1 mile)

Blackpool Sands

The historical town of Dartmouth is about 4 miles. Famous for its beautiful river and links with seafarers. Totnes (approx 12 miles) has an interesting market and many shops. Kingsbridge (approx 9 miles) is at the end of the estuary and offers river trips, farmers markets and within easy reach are many beaches, coastal/ country walks, excellent restaurants and inns.

Slapton Sands

Slapton Sands (approx 2 miles) has a long strip of shingle that divides the sea from Slapton Ley, a freshwater lake with marshes and an abundance of wildlife.

Strete has a restaurant, 'The Laughing Monk' and 'The Kings Arms' inn offers a variety of seafood, are within walking distance of 'Sunsets'. The village Post Office is an Aladdin's cave providing fresh bread, freshly baked cakes and patisseries, eggs, milk, bacon and gifts to take home plus lots, lots more!
