WELCOME....
We invite you to visit us at the Port Light, a former
Golf Clubhouse and war-time RAF Radar Station. You will find a homely
and friendly welcome.
Nearly 450 ft above sea level, the Port Light enjoys
a unique cliff top position, set amidst acres of National Trust
Coastal Countryside between Hope Cove, with its thatched cottages
and small but lovely beach and Salcombe, the famous yachting haven
as featured on ITV's lifeboat series.
The bar is bright, spacious and has its own popular
menu, with traditional, home-cooked fayre a speciality. It is a
favourite meeting place where tourists and locals alike can enjoy
the relaxed atmosphere and watch the world pass by, whilst enjoying
our unsurpassable "Devon Sunsets" over Bigbury Bay.
Port Light has six superbly appointed ensuite rooms,
three with shower, one with bath and two with bath and shower.
All rooms have colour television, fixed wall heating,
beverage facilities and hair dryers. All rooms are non-smoking from
2006.
The views from the bedrooms are probably the finest
to be experienced and look towards Dartmoor, Cornwall and France.
We now have a ground floor double shower ensuite room. The room
does not have views as such but does benefit from a small patio
to enjoy those sunny mornings at Bolberry.
We are totally pet friendly and welcome dogs in our
hotel. We do not charge for pets as long as they are kept on leads
throughout the hotel areas and follow our considerate guide lines,
which enables us to provide a unique accommodation for you and your
pets.
