Welcome to Whitehill Country Park, a family run Holiday Park beautifully situated in Devon's rolling countryside yet only two and a half miles from the nearest beaches.

Whitehill Country Park was formerly the home of the famous Primley stud, where shire horses were bred for showing and fieldwork. As befits a rural location, the surrounding countryside is unspoilt and still used as farmland.

The stables and barns have been converted into a bar, family room, cafe, disco and games room, yet none of the original atmosphere has been lost.

There is also an outdoor swimming pool, paddling pool and playground plus woodland and countryside walking on our doorstep. Whitehill Country Park itself covers over 40 acres.

The fields have their own names - the origins of which have been lost in the mists of time - Coombe Meadow, Great Orchard, Sweethill and Nine Acres.

In the surrounding woods and fields, over 130 species of flowering plants, trees, shrubs, ferns and grasses have been identified. These attract a great deal of wildlife. We have been awarded David Bellemy 'Gold' for conservation.

CAMPING PODS

NEW FOR 2011 Tent pods - an eco-friendly alternative to camping. With no tent to put up or pack away, your holiday could just have become a lot less stressful. A Tent Pod is designed to accommodate the variable British weather, offering an easy alternative to the tent whilst retaining all the ambiance of the 'camping holiday'.

• No putting up and taking down of wet tents
• An outside area for dining, sunbathing and chilling out
• A guaranteed dry place should the weather get a little damp

Each Pod has lighting, a plug socket and plenty of headroom. The floor area for the family Woodland Pod is 2.6m wide x 3.5m long - ample space for a small family of 2 adults and 2 small children. With the Orchard Pod measuring 2.3m wide x 2.7m long. Plus, our camping pods have outside wooden decks, complete with tables and chairs to sit back and enjoy your surroundings.

Sleeping 2 to 6 people, with 2 or 3 bedrooms, our luxury lodges are designed to the highest of specifications and finished to provide you with the ultimate home away from home. Our self-catering lodges come with a fully fitted kitchen complete with stylish modern appliances. The Cedar and Maple come with a dishwasher and washing machine and the Maple even includes a wine cooler! The comfortable living and dining area are decorated with impeccable style.

TOURING CARAVANS, TENTS & MOTORHOMES

Electric and no-electric pitches for tourers, motor homes and tents. Short and weekly stays available.

It's all here - thatched cottages, cream teas, stunning coastline, boat trips, lazy rivers, the list is endless, in fact you will be spoilt for choice. Local attractions include Goodrington Sands, Paignton Zoo, Model Village, Woodlands, Living Coasts, Kents Cavern, Paignton and Dartmouth Steam Railway, Quaywest Water Park and Bygones.

It is not for nothing that this region of South Devon is known as the English Riviera.

Whitehill is well signposted from the Paignton to Tomes road (A385), its unique position, set mostly in a sheltered free draining valley, with its wide range of first-class facilities are why Whitehill is one of the Westcountry's most popular and highly regarded holiday parks.
